The Willard Hotel

1401 Pennsylvania ave NW, Washington DC

A Willard Hotel Wedding, Captured

There's a reason so many couples dream of a Willard Hotel wedding. Just steps from the White House on Pennsylvania Avenue, the Willard InterContinental has been Washington's grand backdrop for celebrations since the 1850s — the same halls where a dozen U.S. presidents have stayed, and where Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. is said to have refined his "I Have a Dream" speech. Walk through Peacock Alley, past the gilded columns and checkerboard marble floors, and you feel it immediately: this is a room built for big moments.

I've had the honor of being a preferred photographer at the Willard Hotel for over 10 years now, and in that time I've photographed countless weddings within these historic walls. It's a venue I never get tired of — the soaring ceilings, the sweeping grand staircase, and that iconic lobby floor turn every first look into something out of another era. The Crystal Room's chandeliers and gold-leaf ceiling make for some of the most striking wedding photography Washington DC has to offer, and after a decade of shooting here, I know exactly where the light falls best.

If you're planning a wedding at the Willard InterContinental, I'd love to be the one capturing it. Reach out and let's talk about your day.
